A Two-Day Workshop for New England Communities

Description: The NADO Research Foundation and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency cordially invite you to attend a workshop designed to help communities understand what they can do to build a more sustainable economy within their regions. With rising gas prices and growing concerns about energy security and the environment, people are wondering what can be done at the local level to combat these issues. This workshop is offered as a forum to educate, brainstorm and allow people to network with one another as we discuss how brownfields redevelopment and environmental stewardship can provide opportunities for economic development.This workshop is designed for regional development organizations, regional planners, local government officials, local businesses, community developers, environmental professionals, state representatives, students, economic developers and nonprofit organizations. Description: This three-day event kicks off with a social hour at 6 p.m. Friday, September 5, which features buffet finger foods, dart and pool competitions, a 50/50 raffle and networking opportunities.
