The IRON DOG CHALLENGE™
Part 1:
1 1/2 mile obstacle course run through field and woods with various obstacles along the way such as, but not limited to: stair climbing, river crossings by foot and by raft, low crawls, "Shoot! Don't Shoot!" house, tunnels, walls, simunitions gunfire for accuracy, distant blanks gunfire for distraction and a 25 yd. uphill dog carry.
Part 2:
Retrieving clearly marked evidence along the obstacle course, such as a mask and gun, that you must carry over the finish line and present to the judge.
Part 3:
Doggie Drag Race. 100 yard sprint by the dog, timed electronically. The dog will be held at the start, by you or a helper, and enticed to run as fast as possible to the other end. You may call the dog to yourself, or a decoy will be available for your use.
You and the dog must complete the course with all obstacles surmounted and all evidence carried to the finish line. All times will be added together for a total time.

* IRON DOG CHALLENGE™ Perpetual Trophy awarded to the top team. *
All teams that complete the course will be awarded the
"IRON DOG CHALLENGE" Medal
All competitors will recieve a certificate for 6 hrs of in-service K-9 training.
No Cost! Open to ALL Police Dog Teams, SAR K-9 teams and members of the Foundation.
