Strategic Plan
The New Hampshire Local Government Center (LGC) Board of Directors unanimously approved the organization's Strategic Plan for 2011-2015 at their annual meeting held November 19, 2010. The plan is the culmination of a two-phase internal review and planning process that began in September 2009. In adopting its new strategic plan, the LGC Board of Directors reaffirmed the organization’s mission: “to strengthen the quality of its member governments and the ability of their officials and employees to serve the public.”
Notable decisions reflected in the new strategic plan include:
- The Board’s vote to adopt a new governance structure that combines the LGC’s health, property-liability, workers’ compensation and unemployment insurance lines into a single pool, and changes the New Hampshire Municipal Association’s relationship from subsidiary to sister organization.
- The Board’s commitment to managing health care costs for its members without compromising the quality of care and service offered by LGC.
- The Board’s intention to deepen relationships with school administrative units and school districts to help them achieve their mission and serve the public.
- The Board’s plan to make the Workers’ Compensation Program more financially self-supporting by 2015, including terminating the subsidy from the HealthTrust as of January 1, 2011.
