President's Message
As your President, I would like to welcome you to the New Hampshire Fire Prevention Society/New Hampshire Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators web site!
2011 proves to be a very challenging legislative environment for fire inspectors and code enforcement professionals. The Board of Directors and I are committed to working with all stakeholders to collectively address these proposals in a manner that continues New Hampshire’s strong safety record!
We have been working diligently to keep the membership informed. We have kept the legislative section of our web site updated and have included any written testimony or amendments NHFPS has offered. We feel this transparency is vital to our organization and our profession.
In an effort to continue our organizational rejuvenation, starting February 22 we have scheduled a monthly meeting of the NHFPS from 0900-1200 on the fourth Tuesday of each month. We are hoping this will provide a consistent date that will allow adequate planning, ultimately leading to increased meeting attendance and participation.
We are constantly looking for members interested in taking a greater role in the organization. Our organization will only thrive if we continue to attract new member who take an active role in the organization. Currently, we are looking for members interested in the following committees: Training, Nominating, Legislative, Public Education and By-laws.
We are still interested in publishing a bi-monthly newsletter! We NEED content! If you have any material of interest or are interested in writing a short article, we need your help! Please contact Director Mitch Cady of Manchester Fire.
It continues to be my distinct honor to serve as your President! The Board of Directors would welcome your feedback and suggestions on how we can make our organization stronger. We look forward to continued organizational growth and increased involvement in 2011!
