GIS Technician (part-time)

The Town of Milford, New Hampshire is seeking a qualified and motivated part-time (24 hours/week) Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician to be responsible for developing and managing GIS data layers within the ArcGIS environment; creating GIS-based map products; collecting and managing GPS data; and assisting municipal departments with GIS data development and analysis. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Cartography/GIS; 2-3 years experience working with ArcGIS software, GIS data development, geodatabase design and management, GPS data collection, and knowledge of Microsoft software including Word, Excel, and Access. Familiarity with municipal government and utility operations a plus.  Equivalent education and experience will be considered. Successful applicant must be customer-service oriented and able to work well with the public.

The position reports to the Director of Community Development. Rate of pay $15 - $18/hour depending on qualifications.  Closing date for applications is Friday, February 24, 2012
